"Esther Elida Vik
Esther Elida VIK Age 96, a longtime Ballard resident, died March 22, 2006. Esther was born in Snohomish County on Aug. 1, 1909 to John and Mary Rasmussen. She was raised and attended schools in Snohomish County. She later moved to King County where she met and married to Arthur Vik in 1942. The couple made their home in Ballard where they lived for many years. Arthur died in 1986. Esther was a longtime member of the Hatasu Temple No. 1, Daughters of the Nile. Esther will be remembered as a true caretaker of family and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 12 noon in the chapel of Evergree-Washelli Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday morning prior to Service time."
