“Earl Jutting rites held in Revillo Saturday”
“Earl F. Jutting of Revillo, S. Dak., died at St. Bernard’s hospital in Milbank January 4, 1972.
Mr. Jutting was the son of John and Anna Wieker Jutting and was born August 5, 1905 at Castlewood, S. Dak. He received his education in Castlewood.
On July 17, 1935 he was married to Vera Voelsch at Sibley, Iowa. They farmed near Castlewood and Estelline and in 1946 moved to the Revillo area.
He was baptised in St. Martin’s Lutheran church in Watertown and was a member of St. Paul’s parish at Albee, S. Dak., until the merger with St. John’s Lutheran church in Revillo.
Mr. Jutting served on the Albee school board and coached Little League baseball from 1963-1969.
Survivors are his wife, Vera, two daughters, Mrs. Dick (Diane) Jerde, Marietta, Minn., and Mrs. Dale (Sharon) Buttke, Corona, S. Dak.; and six sons, Gerald, Milbank; Duane, Maine; Dennis, Westbrook, Minn.; Robert, Ronald and Curtis, all of Revillo.
twelve grandchildren, five sisters, Mrs. Carl Polzin, Milbank; Mrs. Ester Gaikowski, Webster, S. Dak.; Mrs. Victor Schull, Watertown; Mrs. Bill Dammann and Mrs. Carrie Dammann, both of Sibley, Iowa also survive.
He ws preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
Funeral services were conducted by Pastor Barklie Johnson at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 8, at St. John’s Lutheran church in Revillo and interment was made in Mr. Hope cemetery, Watertown, S. Dak.
Pallbearers were David Gilbert, Leslie Jutting, both of Goodwin, S. Dak., Glenn Schull, LaBolt, Donald Gaikowski, Webstgger, S. Dak., Edward Dammann, Sibley, Iowa, and Merle Dammann, Paulina, Iowa.”
