CORRINA, Kathryn E. Pinkerton, 79, died May 10, 1987, at her Old Newport Road residence. She was born July 5, 1907, in Bath, the daughter of Roy J. and Mildred (Whitcomb) Buxton. On Dec. 22, 1934, she married John Pinkerton. She was a graduate of Corinna Union Academy and Eastern State Normal School, Castine, and attended the University of Maine. For 25 years, she served as office manager at Dumbarton Woolen Mill. She was a member of the Corinna Chapter OES 151 and the Cleora Rebekah Lodge 111, having held offices in both lodges. Besides her husband of Corinna, she is survived by a son Robert of Corinna; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Buxton of Dexter; three granchildren, Catherine Wood of Kissimmee, Fla., Joyce Mesta of Guam, and Paula Pinkerton of South Portland. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the Crosby Funeral chapel, Exeter Road, Corinna, with the Rev. Irwin Koelker officiating. Interment will be in Morse’s Corner Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, where the officers of the Eastern Star will conduct memorial service.”
