      "Everett Gatchell, War Veteran, Dies
      Everett C. Gatchell, a veteran of the Spanish-American war and a life-long resident of Kittery, died yesterday morning at his home, 5 Rice Avenue. He was born in Kittery May 12, 1869, the son of the late Calvin W. and Pamelia (Adams) Gatchell.
      He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie M. (Deane) Gatchell: one sister, Mrs. C. G. Newson of Kittery; two nephews, Charles Ricker, USN of this city; Kenneth C. Newson (U.S. army) of Kittery; and a niece, Mrs. Adelbert Chapman, also of Kittery.
      During the Spanish-American war, Mr. Gatchell served on the USS San Francisco. He was a member of Theodore Roosevelt Camp, SWV of Kittery and Emerson Hovey Post No. 168, VFW of Portsmouth."
