Edith was born May 8, 1914, in Aberdeen, Wash., to Richard Clayton Brownell and Grace Darling Schaffer. She was raised and educated in Aberdeen and Yakima, Wash. She married Clyde Taylor, Nov. 20, 1941, in Arizona. She was a housewife and will be remembered for being a very nice person. She loved to talk with everyone and everyone enjoyed her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Clarke, of Hillsboro, and Barbara Armstrong, of Hillsboro; son, Tom Taylor, of Statesville, N.C.; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
