Notes |
- Two possible 1940 Census records:
#1:
1940 U.S. Federal Census: 630 Union St., Brooklyn
Rosenthal, Harry, head, 32, born in New York, has lived in same house for 5 years, occupation: counter man, restaurant;
Rita, wife, 29, born in New York;
Inez, 2, born in New York.
OR
#2:
1940 U.S. Federal Census: 845 Gerard Ave., Bronx
Rosenthal, Harry, head, 33, born in New York, has lived in same place for 5 years, occupation: motion pictures projectionist, production of motion pict.
Yetta, wife, 30, born in New York, has lived in the same place for 5 years;
Stephen, son, 2, born in New York.
Record #2 is most likely the correct record. In early census, Harry was a commercial photographer. He is also living in the Bronx, where most of his family resided.
